Going Home

Part 103

Later that afternoon as Grace sat reading the paper next to Josh on the couch she glanced over at him. He looked thoughtful as he watched the water. It had been such an intense time for him and she’d like to see him smile. Margaret and Robert were standing talking in the kitchen behind them so deciding to give Josh something else to think about, Grace crossed her legs and as she did ran her foot up his calf.

Turning his head to frown at Grace as he felt her touch Josh wondered what she was up to. But she wasn’t looking at him and her expression wasn’t giving anything away so he put it down to an accident and turned back to contemplating the water.

Trying to keep a straight face as she watched Josh turn back to look out the window Grace moved her hand this time. Taking it off the paper she slowly rubbed her hand up her leg but stretched out her little finger so it ran lightly up Josh’s thigh. She smiled as she watched as his eyes close on the sensation.

Opening his eyes as he got himself under control Josh turned his head and gave Grace’s profile a stern look. He knew that time it was no accident, he could see the smile playing around her mouth as she kept her eyes glued to the paper. What was she trying to do to him? With his parents there she knew he couldn’t do anything about it at the moment. Was she trying to drive him crazy?

But Grace had no intention of just leaving it at teasing. She knew something Josh didn’t. Margaret mentioned earlier going for a walk with Robert so she just gave Josh a knowing smile when a couple of minutes later they announced their intentions and set out in the opposite direction to the one Josh and Margaret had taken earlier.

Josh however couldn’t believe his luck. He had been seriously contemplating dragging her out into the trees somewhere. After watching his parents go he turned his head and looked at Grace with disbelief.

Smiling at his expression Grace just raised an eye brow.

Josh’s eyes narrowed as he said “you knew.”

Grace got up and walked around the couch heading towards the bedroom before replying cheekily over her shoulder “maybe.”

Josh shook his head in astonishment. He loved that she never ceased to amaze him, not to mention arouse him, and he hoped it would always be that way. It felt so good contemplating his future tied to her. Lost in his thoughts Josh forgot to move.

Reaching the bedroom door and seeing he was still in the same position Grace looked at his face. Noticing the abstracted look she smiled and teased softly “it won’t matter though if you’re just going to sit there, they’ll be back again soon.”

Snapped out of his reverie Josh grinned and jumping over the back of the couch wasted no more time.
