Part 81

Later lying on the couch with Grace in his arms, Josh looked down at her and with a stern expression he accused “that was your fault you know?”

Looking up at him Grace is contrite and agreed, “I know Josh and I’m sorry. I just thought a lot was assumed between us but not said and it would be better for both of us to have things spelt out.” Then smiling she continued “Not that I’m complaining about the outcome.”

Feeling more at ease Josh gave her a smile and pushing some hair behind her ear he said “no, well as good as that was I could do with out the lead up thanks.”

Understanding she’d seriously worried him Grace nodded “okay.” Then changing the subject she added “now about your parents if they are going to be here over the weekend what are we going to do?”

Josh frowned “I don’t know. Any ideas?”

“Well we could have lunch down along the river and then we could go for a walk.”

Running his finger along her jaw Josh said “I guess that sounds okay, then what?”

“I have no idea.” Grace said with s shrug. “Maybe there’s something they’d like to see or do. I guess we’ll have to work the rest out as we go.”

“Fair enough” Josh said, his voice a little absent now as he kissed her ear. His eyes closed.

Assuming he’s tired Grace smiled and got up off the couch. Putting out her hand to Josh she said “come on bed time.”

 “Sounds good to me”

Pulling him to his feet Grace turned towards the bedroom and smiled as she felt Josh’s arms wrap themselves around her from behind. As she moved forward pulling Josh along with her he started to kiss her neck. “I thought you were tired” Grace said.

“Nah just ready for bed” Josh said smiling against her skin.

Shaking her head, Grace smiled.
